Job description

Regeneron is seeking an IOPS AI Engineer to design, train, and deploy AI solutions that address real business needs within the IOPS organization. This onsite role in Troy, NY combines model development with production operations, including building the infrastructure that powers scalable AI deployments.

What you’ll do

• Develop and implement AI solutions such as deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision to solve specific business challenges.
• Train, evaluate, and fine-tune AI models to reach optimal performance metrics.
• Monitor model performance in production environments and recommend improvements based on observed results.
• Design and build scalable AI infrastructure, including data pipelines, model serving frameworks, and cloud-based deployment architectures.
• Optimize AI systems for performance and efficiency, considering latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements, translate business needs into actionable AI solutions, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Collaborate with data scientists to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets that inform model development.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams to support alignment with business objectives.
• Stay current on the latest advancements in AI research and technologies to identify potential applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

• Deep understanding of AI algorithms and machine learning methods, including deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, plus related software frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Python proficiency and experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies to support production-grade delivery.
• A BS/BA in an IT, Scientific, or Engineering discipline (including Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Engineering) or a related field.
