Assoc Director, Clinical Operations Program Lead

The Associate Director, Clinical Operations Program Leadership (COPL) is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and implementation of clinical development program operations. Reporting to the Senior Director of the Clinical Trial Delivery Unit, COPL acts as the lead program-level representative, providing strategic and operational insights to influence clinical development plans. The role involves developing high-level clinical study operational strategies aligned with the Clinical Development Plan (CDP) and key program objectives.

Who You Are

You are a strategic thinker with experience in program leadership within drug development. You are driven, agile, and a collaborative team player with strong influencing skills.

Required Skills

  • Undergraduate degree in a scientific or health-related discipline with at least 8 years’ experience in drug development, clinical research, and operational strategy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to ensure studies and programs meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations
  • Deep knowledge of project and program management
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, mitigation, and contingency planning
  • Strong timeline and budget management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a biotech/pharma environment (preferred)
  • Advanced scientific or business degree (MS, PhD, PharmD, MBA, MPH) or equivalent experience (preferred)

The base salary range for this role is $161,000 - $222,000. Compensation is determined through an analytical approach considering skills, experience, location, and internal equity. Employees are eligible for short- and long-term incentives, including bonuses and equity.
