Overview

Connection is seeking anAssociate Cloud Solution Architect (Assoc CSA)to support the continued growth of ourAWS and Google Cloud (GCP) business. This role will play an important part in accelerating cloud engagements, strengthening partner relationships, and helping sales teams move cloud opportunities from early discussions to successful outcomes.

Working under the supervision of theDirector of Sales Engineering for Microsoft, theAssociate Cloud Solution Architect follows a fast-track career development path within the Presales Cloud Solution Architect team.

The role supportsSales teams and clients on both new and existing cloud opportunities, providing pre-sales technical consulting and solution design across major hyperscale platforms such asAWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The Associate CSA participates in a structured3–6-month certification and training track, with mentorship from senior Cloud Solution Architects during the first year.

Upon completion of the initial certification track and based on performance, the Associate CSA progresses toward theCloud Solution Architect role.

Currently,AWS is the largest hyperscale cloud provider by revenue, yet Connection has minimal AWS business today. As engagement with AWS continues to increase across our customer base, we are seeking a dedicated resource who can help drive opportunity development, improve solution turnaround times, and support deeper collaboration with AWS programs and teams.

Many Connection customers—particularly acrossmanufacturing, healthcare, banking/financial services, and federal sectors—already have a strong AWS presence. This role will help Connection better align with those environments while supporting opportunities across bothAWS and Google Cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• SupportSales teams and clients in pre-sales engagementsrelated to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud solutions.
• Assist with bothnew and existing cloud opportunities, helping accelerate the development and delivery of cloud solutions.
• Work with senior CSAs toassess client environments, understand business challenges, and support cloud strategy discussions.
• Design and recommendtechnical solution configurationsaligned with client requirements and cloud best practices.
• Assist withsolution pricing using cloud provider pricing calculatorsand ensure alignment with client budgets.
• Collaborate withAccount Managers, Sales Managers, and partnersto identify and develop cloud opportunities.
• Participate incustomer calls and discovery sessionsto qualify prospects and support cloud solution discussions.
• Support internalsales enablement and training, helping improve sales team confidence in cloud opportunities.
• Attendindustry and partner training sessionsto expand knowledge of cloud technologies and emerging solutions.
• Maintain and pursuecloud certifications across hyperscale platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Cloud certifications are required in two or more of the following cloud technologies: Azure, AWS, Google. Certifications in VMWare or Converged and/or Hyper-Converged platforms are a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Minimum2 years of relevant experience, with approximately4 years total experience expected for full proficiency.

Certifications:

• Cloud certifications intwo or more platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)required.
• Certifications related toVMware or converged / hyper-converged platformsare considered a plus.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Understanding ofcloud fundamentals, including identity, workloads, networking, and data services.
• Experience usingAWS, Azure, or Google Cloud portals and pricing calculators.
• Familiarity withcloud best practices and frameworks.
• Ability toanalyze client environments and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability toexplain technical solutions and value propositions to clients.
• Ability to workcollaboratively with sales teams and technical peers.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong focus on learning and professional development.
