Job description

We are seeking an industrial engineer with experience in and/or knowledge of conducting time studies and line balancing (Lean manufacturing or flow acceleration).
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.
Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
Measures performance against process requirements.
Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
Communicates team progress.
Performs cost and benefit analyses.
SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Required Knowledge and Experience
Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education.
Requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering, and minimum 1+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
