Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking a meat department team member to operate the department in the meat manager's absence, cut meats per specs, and ensure product quality and freshness for optimal sales.

You will deliver fast, friendly service to customers, require at least 18 years old, basic computer skills, strong communication, and 6–12 months of related experience, while following sanitation guidelines to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Ability to pass a cutting test.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Satisfactory performance reviews. Basic computer skills. Strong communication skills. High School Degree or equivalent. 6-12 months of related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Exposure to Cold Environment Constant 5-8 Hours

Pivoting Constant 5-8 Hours

Pushing/Pulling Constant 5-8 Hours up to 75lbs

Squatting/Kneeling Occasional 1-3 Hours

Lifting Frequent 3-5 Hours up to 50lbs

Pushing/Pulling Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 2400lbs
