This is a full-time on-site office position for an Assistant Project Manager/Estimator at Diaz Electric of New York Inc., located in the Industry City neighborhood of Brooklyn. The Assistant Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical projects. Day-to-day tasks include supporting project management, expediting processes, documenting projects, and managing logistics. The role also entails preparing estimates and meeting project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Manage job-related documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports
  • Proficiency in estimating software (Planswift, Sage, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, and related documents
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine estimates and ensure alignment with project goals
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Assist in creating file folders, project binders, and safety boards, and keep files organized
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Salary is contingent on experience.
