Job Description

Wage: $17.50/hr
Schedule: On-Call

The Caregiver assists residents with Daily Living Activities, ensuring dignity, respect, and quality service in accordance with policies and regulations. Responsibilities include responding to needs, following care plans, assisting with hygiene, mobility, meals, activities, safety checks, documentation, and emergency response.

Essential Duties include:

  1. Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs, maintaining dignity and safety (50%)
  2. Follow care plans to ensure proper care (10%)
  3. Assist with bathing, grooming, hygiene, meals, and activities (20%)
  4. Support residents during mealtime and transportation (6%)
  5. Perform safety checks and encourage participation in activities (4%)
  6. Manage oxygen equipment and document observations (5%)
  7. Respond to alerts and emergencies (3%)

Non-Essential Duties: Display professionalism, promote teamwork, manage time effectively, and adhere to policies. Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18+ or have proper work authorization
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Nurses Aid certification preferred
  • Current first aid certification
  • Background checks and health screening, including TB test
  • Prior caregiving experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English; follow directions

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 40+ pounds, push 150 pounds, and perform mobility tasks.
