Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Reading, PA is seeking a Certified Medicine Aide (CMA) to join our dedicated assisted living team. You will administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse and help ensure residents receive safe, timely treatments and compassionate daily care.

The full-time CMA role offers a $1 shift differential on top of base pay, a $3,000 sign-on bonus paid in increments at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year, with shifts from 3PM to 11PM.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Technician or CMA course completed and current state certification.
• Completed CNA program if required by state of employment.
• Must read/write/speak English and respond to residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine and PRN medications as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and report observations to the supervising nurse.

You will work under the direction of a licensed nurse, playing a vital role in ensuring our residents receive their medications and treatments safely and efficiently. You will be a key part of our residents’ daily well-being, contributing to a supportive and engaging atmosphere.

Position Highlights

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Technician or Certified Medicine Aide Course and current certification per state requirements.


• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program, if required by state of employment.


• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and to respond to their medical and physical needs.


• Basic knowledge of computers or willingness to learn.


• Must attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education programs provided by the assisted living center to maintain certification.


• Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy.
