Genesiscareers in Belfast, ME is seeking a Certified Medicine Aide on a full-time, day-shift role. The position involves administering medications under supervision, with 12-hour shifts from 6:45 to 7:15, and working under licensed nurses to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will maintain medication supplies, document administrations, coordinate with pharmacy, monitor vital signs as needed, and support residents with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved medication aide training course is required.
• Completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant training program is required.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with one year of experience as a CNA.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Certified Medicine Aide administers medications and medicated creams within the standards of practice as permitted by their Certification and per state regulations.
• Prepare and administer routine and PRN medications to patients as prescribed by the physician and document administration per policy.
• Maintain medication supply, clean and restock medicine carts and medicine room.
• Notify pharmacy of new medication orders and refills.
• Perform accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy
