Purpose / Mission

Amazing Athletes is a youth sports enrichment program that focuses on teaching kids ages 18 months to 12 years old the basics of 10 different sports and activities (Baseball, Basketball, Football, Golf, Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, and many more) with an introduction to nutrition, muscle identification, and development of key motor skills.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist head coaches in teaching the basics of different sports, activities, nutritional information, muscle identification, and basic motor development skills to kids ages 18 months to 12 years, following the established Amazing Athletes curriculum.
• Travel throughout the Greater Charlotte area to different daycares, preschools, and elementary schools to teach classes.
• Track attendance, keep records of child progress, and maintain positive relationships with center staff, directors, parents, and other Amazing Athletes staff.
• Ensure the safety of all participants while in our care.
• Support head coaches and occasionally fill in as the head coach when needed.

Working Conditions

Candidates must be able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods, often outdoors. Ability to pull/carry up to 40 lbs is required. For more information, visit Amazing Athletes Careers or email [e-mail].

Schedule Details

• Work various hours between 8AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday, as needed.
• Schedule and locations may vary weekly with notice.

Work Locations

• Preschools, Day Cares, Schools, parks in the greater Charlotte area, including Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and Huntersville.

Requirements

Required Qualifications / Experience

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma.
• Able to pass NCDHHS Background and SCSLED Checks.
• Preference for those with cleared background checks.
• 1-2 years childcare experience.
• Background or knowledge of sports.
• Reliable transportation for travel (mileage reimbursement available).
• Access to a mobile device for class rosters and schedules.

Benefits

• $15/hr for Assistant Coach, $20/hr for Head Coach.
• Paid biweekly.
