Job summary

Bridge Los Angeles, operating Soccer is Life! program, seeks an Assistant Soccer Coach for after-school youth sessions at Magnolia Science Academy 7 and Montague Charter Academy.

You will support the head coach with a tested youth soccer curriculum, supervise small groups, and help players develop fundamentals in a safe, encouraging setting. Positions are part-time, hourly, seasonal with potential for year-round continuation; compensation ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, about 5 hours

Qualifications

• Coaching experience with youth in school or club settings.
• Experience working with elementary school-age children.
• Reliability with scheduled days and times.
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test.
• Strong communication and patient coaching style.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a structured, age-appropriate soccer curriculum.
• Lead small groups by age and skill level.
• Run warm-ups, cooldowns, and injury-prevention routines.
• Teach dribbling, passing, first touch, shooting, 1v1 skills.
• Develop tactical understanding: positioning, spacing, defensive shape, small-sided play.
• Supervise matches and reinforce sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Set up and break down equipment; maintain a safe environment.
• Support tournaments and field trips; paid at standard hourly rate.
