Job summary

The HSSU Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach is responsible for all aspects of developing and organizing the program. The position includes extensive recruiting, coordination of practices, skill development, and instructing student athletes in techniques for peak performance.

NAIA eligibility knowledge is required and duties align with the Athletic Director and university leadership. To perform successfully, the candidate must effectively supervise student athletes, manage team budget and fundraising

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Collegiate playing experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills for both field and goal keepers.
  • Must possess some knowledge of the NAIA rules, and regulations.
  • Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with University administrators and student-athletes.

Responsibilities

  • Instructs student athletes in techniques of the sport, rules, regulations, and equipment.
  • Coordinates practices, helps drive HSSU/rental vehicles to away games, team travel.
  • Coaches effectively in practices and competitions.
  • Integrates the program into the campus community.
  • Manage team budget and fundraising experience.
  • Provides supervision of student athletes.
  • Recommend improvements and modifications.
  • Promote philosophy of the athletic department and HSSU University.
