Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

• Current CPR & First Aid certification or must obtain within 30 days from date of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience in the sport of volleyball. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of the rules and strategies of volleyball. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.

• Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.

Assist the head women's volleyball coach in all aspects of an NCAA Division I women's volleyball program including student recruitment, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, assisting with the administration of summer camps, and administration of the women's volleyball program in full compliance with NCAA and university rules and regulations. The University of California, Davis sponsors 25 sports for men and women and is a member of NCAA Division I. A majority of intercollegiate sports compete in the Big West Conference.

Work Environment
