Responsibilities

• Assist in developing sport-specific systems and strategies and instruct student-athletes in these systems and game fundamentals.
• Evaluate student-athletes to identify strengths and deficiencies and design opportunities to improve execution.
• Provide individual skill instruction, supervision, and motivation to student-athletes.
• Assist in planning and designing annual, seasonal, monthly, weekly, and daily practice schedules.
• Coordinate conditioning programs with strength and conditioning staff, aligned with safety standards.
• Assist with all practice sessions while integrating basic sport strategies as directed by head coach.
• Incorporate position/event-specific learning into daily practice and instruction.
• Foster an environment that supports the whole development of student-athletes.
• Maintain relationships with athletic trainer and conditioning staff for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• Help manage travel logistics, team scheduling, and meeting logistics as needed.
• Assist with NCAA compliance forms, records, and eligibility monitoring for student-athletes.
• Coordinate with academic advisors to monitor academic performance and graduation progress.
• Assist with equipment condition checks and facility upkeep in coordination with facilities staff.
• Collaborate with SID on media relations and promotional activities for intercollegiate athletics.
