Job Summary: Colby College, a member of the NESCAC, offers 32 intercollegiate sports at Division III and additional programs at Division I. The department supports a vibrant campus sports culture, with state-of-the-art facilities and outdoor venues. The college seeks an Assistant Women's Crew Coach starting August 11, 2025, to assist in running a competitive Division III program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist with on-site coaching during practices and games
• Prepare and present film analysis
• Plan and coordinate competitions
• Support student-athletes academically and personally
• Recruit and retain talented athletes
• Maintain compliance with NCAA rules
• Ensure athlete safety and serve as a positive role model
• Assist with program operations and travel logistics

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Collegiate coaching or competing experience preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel

Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to handle physical tasks, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and interact professionally in various situations. Must be able to move around campus, lift up to 35 pounds, and handle visual and mental focus requirements.
