Title: Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach

Description: Under the supervision of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting in educating, coaching, training, assessing, mentoring, and recruiting members of the team. The role aims to enhance the student experience, promote the College’s reputation, and build a competitive athletic program.

Responsibilities:

  1. Instruct student-athletes on rules, fundamentals, regulations, equipment, and techniques related to the sport.
  2. Collaborate with the head coach on game strategy, coaching during games and practices, and individual development. Assess skills and communicate with the head coach.
  3. Recruit and retain qualified students, organize recruiting events, and communicate with prospects.
  4. Assist with administrative functions, including paperwork, compliance, and departmental meetings.
  5. Build relationships with students, respond to concerns, and contribute to their personal and academic growth.
  6. Perform additional duties as assigned, including game management and teaching PE courses.
  7. Lead administrative tasks such as equipment management, travel arrangements, fundraising, and community service.
  8. Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Support departmental initiatives and participate in campus events.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations.
  11. Represent the College professionally at all times.
  12. Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Playing and/or coaching experience is preferred. Must hold a valid driver’s license, be insured, and have CPR/First Aid certification. Skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication, organizational skills, and knowledge of lacrosse. Ability to mentor students, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities is essential.

Salary range: $27,000
