Job summary

Peachstate Hobby Distribution is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team of 8–10 associates in receiving, warehousing and distribution across the United States. The role requires 2+ years of supervisory and warehouse experience, strong organization, and the ability to lift 50 lb boxes.

Based in Dayton, NJ, the position offers a full-time schedule with typical hours and potential extended hours or weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of receiving/shipping warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of receiving & shipping practices.
• Must be able to bend and lift 50lb boxes.
• Well-organized, able to multitask, and strong attention to detail.
• Must possess strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within the team environment.
• Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Manager and Warehouse Supervisor in providing direction for a team of 8 - 10 warehouse associates in receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes and procedures.
• Conduct/oversee physical counts of products to be reconciled with our system data to maintain correct inventory levels.
• Monitor procedures for the safety and security of the warehouse environment and all goods.
• Prepare orders by processing all printed requests and orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area; and wrapping pallets.
• Maintain inventory controls by reporting all issues to the Facility Manager.
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Contribute to team effort.
• Other duties are as directed by the facility manager or other senior management.

Hours of business: Monday – Thursday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm; Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (40 hours per week).

This position could require extended hours, and occasional weekends as needed.

The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor must maintain professional and respectful working relationships with external shipping services staff, sales staff, warehouse staff, and management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):
