ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Your role on the team:
  1. Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross dock operation
  2. Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area.
  3. Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees.
  4. Reviews costs and makes recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of divisions.
  5. Participates in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well as P&L responsibilities.
  6. Supervises warehouse staff including Team Leaders and Operations Supervisors.
  7. For food accounts, reports food safety problems to authorized personnel for action.
What you need:
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
