Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support daily warehouse and administrative operations at our location.

You will work with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate inventory, deliveries, and customer needs while directing warehouse staff and drivers to ensure timely operations.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a business environment using spreadsheets and word processing software is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of general laborer experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs departmental typing, copying, filing, faxing, mailing, record keeping and reception duties.
• Maintains all accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Inputs all delivery tickets, invoices and map details, daily collections and posting of checks.
• Assists customers with questions about their account such as balance, credits, invoices and discounts.
• Assists branch team members with projects as needed.
• Provides branch team with employee forms and information.
• Reviews work for completeness and quality.
• Maintains yearly records by filing and starting new-year files. Ensures required permits and tax forms are current at the start of each year.
• Assists with daily and monthly inventory counts and adjustments. Orders products with the Branch Warehouse Manager based on monthly and seasonal needs forecasts.
• Provides day-to-day direction and coordination of warehouse activities, including communicating work priorities and coordinating daily operational needs.
• Processes tickets, invoices, credit correspondence and other computer-related duties.
• Coordinates truck routing, including contacting customers, suppliers and other appropriate parties regarding delivery needs and concerns.
• Coordinates inventory control activities, including monitoring receivables, customer orders and general duties associated with inventory control.
• Assists the Warehouse Manager in monitoring and implementing supplier programs.
• Monitors equipment maintenance and care including month-end reports on mileage, driver reports and other required reports.
• Assists Warehouse Manager with month-end closing activities including verification of invoices, inventory count and proper month-end reports.
• Provides back-up to Truck Drivers and the administrative team at the location when needed.
• May be required to drive a company vehicle.
• Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
• Reliable and regular attendance is required.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse and administrative operations of the location. This position works closely with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate warehouse activities, inventory, deliveries, customer needs and administrative functions. The position provides day-to-day direction and coordination of warehouse employees and Truck Drivers to support the efficient and timely completion of operational activities.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, drivers, warehouse employees and branch team members.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
• Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.
• Valid U.S driver's license is required to drive a company vehicle. Must be able to meet all company requirements to drive a Helena vehicle.
• Applicants for positions requiring operation of other moving vehicles or interaction with heavy equipment must meet legal age requirement.
• Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.

Pay rate is $24-27/hr

Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required for all positions at Helena.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB

This position works in both an office and warehouse/outdoor environment. The position will regularly perform administrative duties in an office setting and may also work in the warehouse and outdoors in varying weather conditions. When working in the warehouse, the employee may be exposed to moving equipment/mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations, and electrical hazards. This position requires the ability to use hands for various tasks and to talk, hear, walk, sit and stand for extended periods. The position may require lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to and including 50 pounds or more, reaching overhead, climbing, gripping, grasping, twisting, bending and stooping.
