• Lead and support projects related to new warehouse technologies, systems, and process improvements.
• Provide leadership coverage for Supervisors and the Warehouse Manager during absences or as operational needs require.
• Identify and communicate quality, housekeeping, and safety concerns; partner with leadership to implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently, properly maintained, and used safely.
• Enforce compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and cross-functional teams to identify operational gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate current processes and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
• Promote a positive work environment by maintaining a professional attitude and serving as a role model for team members.
• Participate in and support safety meetings, training sessions, and accident prevention initiatives.

The Assistant Warehouse Manager (AWM) plays a critical leadership role in supporting the Warehouse, Fabrication, and Shipping/Transportation departments. This highly visible position is responsible for reinforcing company standards, modeling expected behaviors, and driving operational excellence across all functions. The AWM partners closely with leadership to ensure productivity, quality, and safety goals are consistently achieved while fostering a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Office, fabrication and manufacturing shops – moderate to loud noise level. This position regularly requires standing; walking; sitting; use hands; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. The position regularly performs duties away from the place of business. Frequent driving is a requirement of the position.

The position may require duties performed off-site, with frequent driving as part of job responsibilities. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and extended shifts, is required to support operational needs.
