• Forward paperwork to the office timely.
• Maintain OSHA standards for the facility.
• Communicate with Operations Manager and HR on payroll and labor laws.

Position Objective:

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for assisting the warehouse manager in all daily functions. This position is also responsible for the day to day operations of the warehouse functions.

Description of Physical Tasks:

Place product on hand truck or dolly (approximately 20 to 50 lbs per case). Pushes/pulls hand truck to machine and loads appropriate company products. Climbing in and out of vehicle and proper lifting techniques.

Responsibilities Include:

• 1.Lead and motivate all warehouse personnel through daily development and coaching.
• 2.Supervise all Warehouse employees to ensure they are performing their assigned duties in an efficient manner.
• 3.Require that all possible steps are taken to prevent the loss of product through pilferage, damage, or aging.
• 4.Ensure all warehouse employees abide by company policies and procedures.
• 5.Must understand all function of “Location Based Inventory” and “Voice Picking” programs.
• 6.Ensure all warehouse employees pay close attention to the code beer dates and the delivery trucks are loaded with the oldest product first.
• 7.Check and prevent any discrepancies in daily inventory.
• 8.Require every Delivery Driver to be counted out correctly and are leaving with the proper product.
• 9.Ensure every Delivery Driver is checked-in immediately upon his return to the warehouse; this includes the counting of all returned product, empties, pallets, and carts.
• 10.Check-in swaps, damage, breakage, and returns.
• 11.Ensure all reworked product to brewery standards and is returned to stock prior to the start of the truck loading process.
• 12.Require a count of the actual cases of product received against the quantity on the bill of lading.
• 13.Rotate product within the warehouse to make sure the oldest product is loaded for delivery first.
• 14.Forward to the office in a timely manner all paperwork that pertains to incoming product.
• 15.Record on the bill of lading(s) the code dates for all products that are received.
• 16.Have all rows tagged with the proper code date information.
• 17.Make sure all delivery trucks are swept out and clean and there is no damage to equipment.
• 18.Ensure warehouse, grounds and keg/pallet yards are kept clean.
• 19.Supervise unloading and loading of common carriers.
• 20.Supervise loading of bulk trucks and transports to other companies.
• 21.Investigate and report all accidents occurring during shift.
• 22.Must be able to work flexible shifts to accommodate peak times and seasonal selling periods.
• 23.Ensure all cooperage, empties, and pallets are returned to the breweries and the paperwork is completed in a correct and timely manner.
• 24.Work closely with Operations Manager and Human Resources Manager in regards to payroll and labor laws.
• 25.Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of Gulf Distributing Holdings Company.
• 26.Maintain open and clear communications with vendors and retailers that conduct business with Gulf Distributing Holdings Company.
• 27.Dress and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
• 28.Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.
• 29.Conduct all of your activities in accordance to the local, state and federal liquor control regulations.
• 30.Perform all work activities in accordance to the safe work practices, policies and procedures.
• 31.Adapt to any new responsibilities required by the Operations Manager.
• 32.Maintain certification for training of warehouse personnel on forklift certification.
• 33.Maintain building and premises to OSHA standards.
• 34.Attend meetings as requested by the Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager and/or Management Director.
• 35.All other duties as assigned.
