Oak Ridge Children's Academy & Day Care in Orlando, FL is seeking an Assistant VPK Teacher to support early childhood education by developing engaging activities and implementing a curriculum that prepares children for school. This full-time, onsite role will lead activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth while ensuring safety and compliance with state regulations.

Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of experience, and DCF 45 hours, with CDA and VPK

• FL DCF 45 hours required.
• Willingness to complete National CDA within 90 days of employment.
• Willingness to complete VPK Endorsement within 60 days of hire.

This is a full-time position that works 8 hour shifts Monday – Friday. The pay is $16.50 -17 per hour depending on experience and credentials. This role is onsite at our centre: 1118 W Oak Ridge Rd, Orlando, FL 32809

The Assistant VPK Teacher coordinates engaging developmental activities, implements curriculum that prepares children for school, and enhances their pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills. The Assistant Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Teacher serves as a model and mentor. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support the growth and success of children.

• Must clear a full level II background check
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
• Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
• Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns
