Job summary

Williamsburg-James City County Schools seeks an high school assistant coach to support the head coach in supervising coaching duties and student athletic activities. The role includes attending staff meetings and promoting positive influence among student athletes.

The coach will help ensure athlete safety and report injuries to appropriate staff, while performing other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of their respective coaching duties, with duties assigned by the head coach.
• Attend staff meetings called by the principal, athletic director, or head coach.
• Serve as a positive influence to the student athletes.
• Ensure the safety of the student athletes and report injuries to appropriate staff.
• All other duties, within reason, assigned by the head coach.

Job description

The high school assistant coach is responsible for working with the head coach. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsiblity for the supervision of their respective coaching duties. These duties will be assigned by the head coach.
