Job summary

Platte Canyon School District is seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach for Platte Canyon Middle School for the coaching season from August to October 2026. Responsibilities

  • Report to the school athletic director and school principal.
  • Teach sound, safe fundamentals in a progressive manner.
  • Establish and execute offensive and defensive strategies.
  • Monitor athletes' behavior on the court and in the community.
  • Work with athletic director on budget and supply orders.
  • Assist with court maintenance.
  • Distribute, collect and inventory equipment.
  • Maintain communication with parents and the community.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Coaches report to the school athletic director and the school principal.

  • Be an active positive member of the faculty.
  • Teach sound, safe fundamentals in progression to enhance the athlete's opportunity to succeed.
  • Establish and execute sound and proven offensive and defensive strategies.
  • Monitor athletes' behavior on the court, classroom and community.
  • Work with athletic director on budget and supply orders.
  • Assist athletic director with court maintenance and preparation.
  • Distribute, collect and inventory equipment and supplies.
  • Establish and maintain sound communications with parents, boosters and community.
