Opportunity Details

WSP is expanding and seeks an Assistant Vice President Project Manager to support our Site Investigation & Remediation Business Line in Austin, Texas. We value enthusiasm and technical expertise, offering a dynamic environment for career growth with varied clients and projects.

Your Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new clients through networking and relationship building.
  • Manage environmental projects including site characterization, remedial design, and compliance, ensuring timely and within-budget deliverables.
  • Perform field work, oversee subcontractors, and conduct sampling in accordance with regulations.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports, recommending remedial solutions based on scientific and engineering principles.
  • Review projects for compliance with environmental laws and standards.
  • Travel primarily within Texas, with occasional trips across the mountain states.
  • Maintain communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, fostering team development.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Participate in technical discussions and business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Manage project performance, client satisfaction, and promote repeat business.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and company policies.
Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • PE or PG license, preferably in Texas.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, site investigations, and remediation.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in budgets and schedules.
  • Business development experience with a proven client relationship track record.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel within Texas and occasionally to other states.
  • Background check and valid driving record required.
