Job summary

Phoenixville Area School District seeks an Assistant High School Varsity Wrestling Coach to support the wrestling program at Phoenixville Area High School. This seasonal role involves mentoring student-athletes, leading drills, and assisting with season scheduling and practices under the Athletic Director and Varsity Head Coach.

The coach will emphasize safety, sportsmanship, and academic- athletic balance, and will model professionalism, punctuality, and positive leadership for team members

Qualifications

• Experience coaching at high school or college level preferred.
• Commitment to student safety, well-being, and discipline.
• Ability to pass State Police, Child Abuse, and FBI checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Wrestling Coach with the program and season planning.
• Develop and supervise beginners and advanced student-athletes to compete.
• Motivate and mentor student-athletes on and off the field.
• Model appropriate behavior, sportsmanship, and respect at all times.
• Ensure safety and well-being of student-athletes and proper equipment care.
• Coordinate with Athletic Office and District Athletic Department as needed.
