Job summary

Propel Schools is looking for an Assistant Boys Varsity Basketball Coach for the 2026/2027 season starting this winter. This role involves supporting the head coach and athletic director, implementing off-season programs, attending mandated meetings, and engaging in continuous professional development.

The position covers multiple schools and offers a seasonal stipend of $3,000. Eligible candidates must possess required clearances and ideally hold an Associates degree or higher with prior coaching experience.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date TB Test is required.
• Act 34 Criminal Clearance is necessary.
• Act 114 FBI Clearance is mandatory.
• Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance must be obtained.
• Completion of Mandated Reporter Training is needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the Varsity program alongside the head coach and athletic director.
• Implement off-season programs per WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
• Attend PIAA preseason coaching meetings and certification trainings.
• Maintain high personal organization and planning.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
