WIN Waste Innovations is seeking an Assistant Utility Operator to monitor and operate ash and auxiliary plant equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous operations. Responsibilities include recognizing operating difficulties, adapting to plant conditions, and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on ash handling and auxiliary systems.
• Operate plant equipment under guidance to ensure proper functioning.
• Communicate clearly verbally and in writing, using intercoms, radios, or face-to-face interactions.
• Anticipate and address operational problems, troubleshoot equipment, and assist in diagnostics.
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, and skid steer loaders.
• Maintain a positive work environment through professional communication and teamwork.

Education and Experience

• Mechanical skills for equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime.
• For Massachusetts, must hold or obtain a Hoisting License (1C/2A) within 9 months.

Work Environment

Includes noise and environmental demands; accommodations available for disabilities.

Physical Demands

• Standing, sitting, walking, handling tools, reaching, climbing, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs., and operating in confined spaces.

PPE Requirements

• Respirators, hardhats, safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, chemical suits, heat and flame-resistant gear, hearing protection, harnesses.
