Job summary

The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra is seeking an Assistant/Utility Horn to support the Principal Horn and Section Horns as needed. This role has the right of first refusal for all services requiring the Assistant/Utility Horn, with the season running September to August and performances mainly from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

Compensation is $137.32 per service, with a guaranteed minimum of 28 services per season, plus 20% extra per service for doubling when applicable, and two paid absences.

The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra is looking for an Assistant/Utility Horn to assist the Principal Horn and Section Horns as needed. The orchestra's performance season runs from September to August, with most performances scheduled between Labor Day and Memorial Day. The upcoming season includes a variety of concerts and events, such as youth concerts, special events, and family discovery concerts, along with opportunities for chamber music and community engagement.
