Job summary

Loenbro in Andrews, TX is seeking an Assistant Utilities Foreman to support daily utility construction operations. You will coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to meet project specs while upholding safety and quality standards.

In this role you will train and mentor team members, review plans, and communicate progress to management. This full-time, on-site position offers growth toward a Foreman role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of utility construction experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in a crew lead or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and safe work practices.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and client screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Utilities Foreman in supervising utility construction crews and daily field operations.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and resources to support project schedules.
• Lead crews in installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and above-ground utility systems.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks and participate in daily safety meetings.
• Review project plans, specs, utility maps, and work orders to understand requirements.
• Monitor work quality and ensure installations meet specs and industry standards.
• Assist in tracking productivity, labor hours, equipment usage, and project progress.
• Identify safety hazards and address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Coordinate utility locates and support excavation activities per trenching safety rules.
• Train and mentor crew members on procedures and company expectations.
• Communicate daily progress and requirements to Foreman and management.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and project documentation.
• Assist with equipment inspections and maintenance of company vehicles and tools.
• Serve as acting Foreman when Utilities Foreman is unavailable.
