    Req#: 730230800 The United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Florida (NDFL) is responsible for representing the federal government in virtually all litigation involving the United States in the Northern District of Florida. This includes criminal prosecutions for violations of federal law, civil lawsuits by and against the government, and actions to collect judgments and restitution on behalf of victims and taxpayers.




    Duties

    The United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Florida is seeking applications from experienced attorneys with significant electronic discovery practice to fill an E-Litigation Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) vacancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing standardized discovery and case-management practices; improving the use of existing tools (e.g. Eclipse, Everlaw, eZmanage, Evidence.com); providing litigation support and consultation at every stage of litigation from investigation through trial; work across divisions to establish best practices and train attorneys; and provide support as co-counsel on a select number of cases.

    Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

    Required Qualifications:
    Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction) and have at least 1-year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. United States citizenship is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Applicants should have significant experience with electronic stored information, complex discovery practice, and document management software. Applicants should also possess superior oral and written communication skills, have strong character and interpersonal skills, have the capacity to function with minimal guidance in a highly demanding environment, and have a strong commitment to public service.
