Job summary

The Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut is seeking applications for an Assistant United States Attorney to serve in the Criminal Division. The individual chosen will investigate and prosecute cases involving illegal immigration (both criminal and civil) and drug trafficking.

This position is located in New Haven with the possibility of transfer to the Bridgeport or Hartford offices if circumstances permit.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Proof of active bar membership is required.
• Must reside in the district or within 25 miles thereof by the closing date.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and prosecute cases involving immigration and drug trafficking.
• Work within the Criminal Division's three units (Major Crimes & National Security; Violent Crimes & Narcotics; Financial Fraud & Public Corruption).
• Expect increasing responsibilities as training and experience progress.
