Ideal candidates have a high school diploma; ECE education is preferred, with prior childcare experience and a passion for helping children grow. The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; associate or bachelor's in ECE preferred.
• Experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool.
• Empathy and compassion for children; ability to work without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, inviting environment.
• Provide daily care routines including diapering and potty training.
• Supervise children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Communicate with families about progress and activities.
• Adhere to health, safety, and licensing guidelines.

Assistant Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment
• Provide daily care routines including diaper changing and potty training
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Works productively without supervision
• Basic understanding of child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
