Job summary

Corvallis School District’s CHS is seeking an Assistant Track and Field Throwers Coach for the 2026-2027 season. The role focuses on developing throwing skills, coordinating program activities, and adhering to OSAA guidelines.

The position requires high school coaching experience, strong ethics, and the ability to motivate athletes. Oregon teaching license preferred; a stipend is provided for the season.

Qualifications

• Track coaching at the high school level.
• Experience in all aspects of coaching.
• Ability to build positive rapport with students, parents, and coaches.
• High ethical and professional standards.
• Ability to motivate student-athletes and coaches.
• Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion, and Steroid training and current First Aid certified (can be completed on hiring).
• Oregon Teaching License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the high school program.
• Work with and help direct all feeder programs.
• Assist in selection of the coaching staff.
• Promote the sport.
• Keep detailed statistics.
• Follow all school and OSAA guidelines.
• Provide off-season opportunities for improvement.
• Be a student of the sport.

Notes:

• Coach needed in the area of throwing.
• Open until filled with earliest review on October 12th, 2026
