Position Details

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our Early Years Program at our Fox Chase location. This is a full-time, on-site position.

  • Minimum CDA required; undergraduate degree in early childhood education preferred
  • Work hours are 10 am - 6 pm, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Lead Teacher with implementing educational lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, aligned with OCDEL-approved curriculum.
  • Engage children in individual and group activities to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Maintain schedules and routines to ensure sufficient physical activity, rest, and play.
  • Ensure a safe, healthy learning environment, maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, safety, and security standards.
  • Monitor children's growth and development using age-appropriate assessment tools.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly about children's progress through discussions, reports, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with staff to promote the well-being of the Early Years program.
  • Support center-wide events, food programs, assessments, audits, and other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • CDA credential required; AA or BA in early childhood education preferred
  • At least 2 years of verifiable experience working with young children
  • Familiarity with Keystone STARS standards and DHS regulations preferred
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification required; certification paid for by CORA if needed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for engaging and supporting children
  • Proficient in Office 365 applications
