Position Details
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our Early Years Program at our Fox Chase location. This is a full-time, on-site position.
- Minimum CDA required; undergraduate degree in early childhood education preferred
- Work hours are 10 am - 6 pm, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with implementing educational lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, aligned with OCDEL-approved curriculum.
- Engage children in individual and group activities to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Maintain schedules and routines to ensure sufficient physical activity, rest, and play.
- Ensure a safe, healthy learning environment, maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, safety, and security standards.
- Monitor children's growth and development using age-appropriate assessment tools.
- Build positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly about children's progress through discussions, reports, and conferences.
- Collaborate with staff to promote the well-being of the Early Years program.
- Support center-wide events, food programs, assessments, audits, and other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- CDA credential required; AA or BA in early childhood education preferred
- At least 2 years of verifiable experience working with young children
- Familiarity with Keystone STARS standards and DHS regulations preferred
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification required; certification paid for by CORA if needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for engaging and supporting children
- Proficient in Office 365 applications
