Gingerbread Littleversity of Fuquay-Varina is seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher to support the lead teacher and implement activities promoting growth across emotional, social, cognitive, and physical domains. The role requires a high school diploma or ECE credentials and includes a focus on family engagement and a safe classroom.

Qualified candidates should be able to lift up to 40 lbs and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Early childhood education credentials or 6 credits in ECE or equivalent.
• Ability to pass all background checks.
• Prior childcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all classroom duties in line with the center's philosophy and goals.

• Take direction, accept feedback, and make improvements for program quality.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for all children.

Gingerbread Littleversity of Fuquay-Varina is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support the following age groups:

• Toddlers

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma, completion of early childhood education credentials or 6 credits worth of early childhood education courses or their equivalent, and the ability to pass all background checks. Aplusif you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:0am - 6:00pm

Compensation: $15-17/hr, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities for Assistant Preschool Teachers:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
