Job Description

Oprah Daily is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented team player who loves the Oprah brand to join our editorial team. The Assistant to the Creative Director will support Oprah Daily’s Creative Director and the Style team. Responsibilities include administrative support, coordinating Oprah’s Favorite Things, our annual gift guide, and assisting with monthly SEO fashion and style stories.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Creative Director’s calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and events
  • Support the Style team under the Market Director’s guidance
  • Create digital stories for the Oprah Daily website
  • Handle expense reports and coordinate travel for the Creative Director
  • Assist with logistics for Oprah's Favorite Things, including vendor communication and sweepstakes management
  • Schedule for the fashion and style department, including events, TV projects, and collaborations with other departments
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience supporting a high-level executive in an editorial setting
  • Familiarity with and passion for the Oprah brand and editorial mission
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professionalism, discretion, and good judgment handling confidential information
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Energetic, resourceful, proactive team player eager to grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Keynote, Google Drive, Zoom; quick learner of new programs

The salary range is $60,000-$62,730, dependent on experience and other factors. This role requires a minimum of 3 days a week in the NYC office. It is covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
