Job summary

Dallas County seeks a Civil Engineer to assist in directing engineering, surveying, construction, and maintenance for county road infrastructure. You will manage infrastructure projects, including drafting/design, estimates, bid documents, and contract administration.

Responsibilities include negotiating right-of-way, performing construction inspections, maintaining records, coordinating with the public, leading survey crews, reviewing data, updating inventory maps, and training staff on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain Iowa DOT certifications (Aggregate, HMA, PCC).
• Valid Iowa driver’s license.
