Job description

We are seeking an experienced RVT to join our team in a Leadership role. We may be part of a big company but we are a close-knit work family. The Assistant Technician Manager will play a vital role in our organization, overseeing various responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations. Some of the key duties include :

• Providing support for new technician training / onboarding and managing the completion of a 4-week checklist.
• Heading up our Student Extern Program : fostering a culture of learning and development.
• Posting new Technician ads every Thursday for our growing doctor team.
• Creating a mapping route for holiday marketing to enhance our brand presence.
• Assisting with training team members on the Ventilator, Fluoroscopy, Scope and other skills, contributing to our team's growth and expertise.
• Conducting New Doctor training on SOAPS and Referral Letters to maintain consistent standards.
• Setting up New Docusign Accounts to streamline administrative processes.
• Coordinating the weekly pet food order, ensuring efficient inventory management.
• Actively participating on the floor, providing assistance as needed, and covering for anesthesia / treatments / where needed during busy times and to cover lunch hours (usually 2-4 hours per day).
• Conducting quarterly inventory checks to maintain precise stock records.
• Collaborating with the medical director to recruit Doctors (email / lists / research)Managing the pDVM phone / email list.
• Assisting in training for anesthesia.Prioritizing safety measures to create a secure working environment for everyone.
• Maintaining the Borrow / Purchase Log for accountability and resource management.
• Helping with managing and participating in marketing events, technician appreciation events / hospital events. This position would include four 10 hour shifts and one weekend day.
