Job summary

Juul Labs in Durham, NC is seeking an Assistant Technical Project Manager to support quality control and cross-functional reviews of laboratory studies. This on-site role collaborates with the Sr Project Manager to ensure timely project initiation, execution, and release while maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will handle document control, SOP alignment, and data integrity across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

Experience implementing SOPs and work instructions.
Ability to review laboratory documentation against SOP requirements.
Knowledge of FDA guidelines and ISO 17025.
Strong MS Word/Excel editing and documentation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and sound judgment.
Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
Willing to wear PPE and follow lab dress code.

Responsibilities

Assist Sr Project Manager across full project lifecycle from intake to launch.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Sr. Technical Project Manager, the Assistant Technical Project Manager will support routine quality control activities to ensure the highest levels of technical and process excellence. Additionally, this role will provide cross-functional review support on key Juul Labs Chemistry related studies, analyses, and initiatives. This role will be on site in our Durham, North Carolina laboratory. The successful candidate will:

Assist Sr Project Manager across the entire project lifecycle, from initial intake and system set-up to formal project launch and release.
Monitor task completion rates within laboratory management software.
Manage laboratory sample inventory, documentation records, and data integrity in compliance with lab protocols, safety standards, and project timelines.
Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, with concurrent projects.

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to understand and implement processes from SOPs and work instructions.
Ability to review laboratory documentation against SOP requirements.
Ability to understand FDA guidelines and regulations, ISO 17025 standard.
Good proofreading, documenting, and editing skills (Microsoft Word/Excel)
Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to work independently.
Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver assignments with high quality in a timely manner.
Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build strong relationships and positively motivate others.
Detail oriented, excellent organizational and management skills.
Able and willing to wear protective equipment such as gloves, lab coats and safety glasses while performing duties in the laboratory, as well as adhere to the laboratory dress code (no shorts, no open toed shoes, etc.).

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in science, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or health related field required.

SALARY RANGES:Salary varies by role, level and location, and is dependent on the cost of labor in a givengeographic region among other factors. These ranges may be modified at any time.
