Job summary

Isaac Morris Limited, based in New York City, is seeking to strengthen its product development team. The role involves preparing development, fit, PP, and TOP samples, dressing and documenting fit, updating tech packs, and supporting sampling workflows across Design, Technical Design, and Production teams.

The candidate will maintain block libraries, grading systems, and sample logs, ensuring accurate storage and timely communication with factories for repeat production.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, measure, and prepare development, fit, pre-production (PP), and TOP samples for evaluation.
  • Dress samples on mannequins/dress forms, capture fit photos, and organize visual documentation in Excel for technical review and recordkeeping.
  • Assist the Technical Designer during fit sessions by reviewing Fit and PP samples, taking detailed fit notes, updating Tech Packs (TPs), and distributing revised documents to Design and Buyers for approval.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain customer-specific block, fit, construction, and grading libraries.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining grading systems and standardized block libraries to support efficient product development across multiple brands and product categories.
  • Organize and maintain the sample closet, ensuring accurate sample storage, labeling, tracking, and easy retrieval for fittings, development, and production reference.
  • Edit, update, and maintain sample tracking logs, development status reports, and purchase order (PO) tracking spreadsheets to support accurate sample flow and production timelines.
  • Coordinate sample organization, documentation, and technical records across Design, Technical Design, Product Development, and Production teams to ensure seamless workflow throughout the product development process.
  • Communicate repeat order requirements to factories (FTY), ensuring approved specifications, construction details, and production standards are clearly understood and consistently followed for repeat production.
