Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a Clinical Supervisor in Independence, MO to lead and mentor clinicians delivering evidence‑based behavioral health and addiction services. You will oversee clinical operations, supervise staff, coordinate with partners, and drive quality improvements to ensure exceptional client outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology (or equivalent), with supervisory experience and appropriate state licensure.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or closely related field with 3+ years in behavioral health or SUD treatment, including 1+ year supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in behavioral health or SUD treatment, including 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • QAP certification through Missouri Credentialing Board or state board with 4+ years SUD and 3+ years supervisory experience.
  • Missouri license as Counselor, Psychologist, or Physician with 1+ year SUD experience and 1+ year supervisory experience.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional with relevant license or credentials meeting specified criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise delivery of high‑quality mental health and SUD treatment; ensure positive client outcomes.
  • Provide clinical leadership through case staffing, treatment planning, diagnostic reviews, and ongoing support to staff.
  • Conduct assessments, intakes, individual/family/group therapy to support operations.
  • Mentor, train, coach, evaluate staff; maintain supervision records and development plans.
  • Coordinate services with community agencies and families to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Monitor service delivery, documentation quality, and productivity; ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Review client records and quality indicators to maintain accreditation and standards; implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules; assist with budgeting and utilization review.

OR* Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field and a minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.* Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) certification through the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. or applicable state board with a minimum of four (4) years of professional substance use disorder treatment experience and three (3) years of supervisory experience;
