DeVry Greenhouses is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to join our production team at our Michigan location. This hands-on role helps coordinate daily production activities, support the floor team, and ensure safety, efficiency, and high quality.

You will work closely with the Team Leader and Grower, lead a small team, and help plan the week to keep operations running smoothly. Training and growth are available within our family-owned greenhouse environment.

Competenze

• Experience in greenhouse or leadership is an asset, but training is provided.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

The Opportunity

DeVry Greenhouses is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to join our production team and support day-to-day operations at our Michigan, Holland greenhouse location. This is a hands-on role that assists with coordinating daily production activities, supporting team members on the floor, and helping ensure greenhouse tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized in a fast-paced environment, and leading by example. The Assistant Team Leader will work closely with the Team Leader and Grower to help keep daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile

• Ability to work extended hours as required by the season

• Willingness to work Saturdays and evenings when required by workload

• Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure

• Takes initiatives to learn new techniques and improve processes

• Works well as part of a team and is willing to help where needed

• Effective communication and people skills

• Ability to speak Spanish is considered an asset

• Previous greenhouse, agriculture, production, or leadership experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right individual
