Summary

Position: Assistant Teachers / Floating/ Part-Time Teachers

Location: All Day Learning Centers - Hillsborough, NJ Area

Hours: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Duties

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily programs and activities that promote the children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development.
2. Help create a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment for children to learn and grow.
3. Engage with children in activities that encourage their curiosity and learning, including games, crafts, reading, and outdoor play.
4. Monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being throughout the day.
5. Assist children with daily routines, including eating, toilet training, and sleeping.
6. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's day, development, and any concerns.
7. Maintain cleanliness and order in the classroom and other used spaces.
8. Prepare materials and equipment for activities, ensuring they are ready for use and safe.
9. Assist in maintaining records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; further education in early childhood education is preferred.
2. Experience in child care or a related field.
3. Patience, creativity, and a love for children.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
6. First aid and CPR certification may be required.
