Oak Hill is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Assistant Teacher I (ATI) to provide hands-on classroom support to individuals with Developmental and other Disabilities. This role involves inspiring others, making a life-changing impact, and achieving professional growth and personal fulfillment. Oak Hill partners with people with disabilities to provide services promoting independence, education, health, and dignity. The Substitute Assistant Teacher at Oak Hill’s Hartford location is required to work an average of 15 hours a month. Responsibilities include supporting Special Education Teachers, preparing lessons, teaching students, assisting with behavior management, tracking student behavior, and setting up classroom materials. Applicants with no experience interested in education or direct care, or those seeking a career change, are encouraged to apply.
This is a union position with pay ranging from $18.50 to $19.40 per hour, depending on shift.
