Oak Hill is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Assistant Teacher I (ATI) to provide hands-on classroom support to individuals with Developmental and other Disabilities. This person will inspire others and make a life-changing impact while achieving professional growth and personal fulfillment. The Substitute Assistant Teacher at Oak Hill’s Hartford Secondary Location is required to work an average of 15 hours a month. The Substitute Assistant Teacher provides support to Special Education Teachers in the classroom, preparing lessons, teaching students, and providing direct support assistance. The Substitute Assistant Teacher will assist with behavior management during lessons, tracking students’ behavior and setting up classroom materials before class as assigned. Applicants with no experience and interested in entering the education or direct care field with a desire to serve people with disabilities, or individuals seeking a career change are encouraged to apply to this position.
This is a union position and pays $18.50 – $19.4 per hour dependent on shift.
