Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an assistant teacher to support K-12 students requiring additional supports. The role collaborates with teachers to deliver small-group instruction and individualized services within SESI’s CASE PBIS framework. You will monitor progress, communicate with families, and implement daily plans.

The position emphasizes safety, de-escalation, and collaborative work with a team of educators to help students succeed in a range of inclusive settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• College experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advance student potential by collaborating with the teacher to work with small groups of students.
• Monitor student behavior and track educational progress using SESI’s instructional model.
• Communicate with parents and reinforce learning and skills through one-on-one tutorials.
• Support the creation and implementation of daily plans and accommodations as necessary.
• Assist with large group activities, grading work, and guiding independent study or enrichment activities.
• Utilize de‑escalation techniques and safety measures to maintain student and staff safety.

Education
