Job summary

JCPRD is looking for staff to ensure the safety and engagement of children in various games and activities at Shawnee Mission Schools. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and have some prior experience with children. Responsibilities include direct interaction with children, ensuring guidelines are followed, and providing excellent customer service. The position offers a pay of $12.00 per hour. Location is at various elementary schools during designated hours.

Job Description

• Ensures the safety of the children in the program at all times.
• Responsible for direct interaction with the children in games, activities, and free play.
• Ensures that both JCPRD and KDHE guidelines are followed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized program.
• Effectively communicate with parents, children, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Must Exhibit Initiative by demonstrating leadership without being prompted.
• Display professionalism always.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Attend all required in-service trainings and meetings.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Program Director or Assistant Program Director
• Salary: $12.00 per hour.

Locations are at various elementary schools in the Shawnee Mission School District.

Shawnee Mission Schools: Monday-Friday, 7:00-8:30 a.m. and/or 3:00-6:00 p.m.

Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

Job Requirements

JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
