Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher for a part-time role in Chattanooga, TN. You will support the Lead Teacher with age-appropriate activities, help maintain a safe and organized classroom, and engage with children throughout daily routines to foster curiosity and growth.

You will communicate with families, observe developmental progress, and assist with attendance and daily reports. A background-friendly environment, with growth opportunities and supportive team dynamics,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Assistant Teacher, Closing Part Time - Chattanooga, Tennessee

Your role

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What your day looks like:

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements

Pay and benefits

Pay: 13-15 per hour, based on experience and education.

Requirements
