Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Compensation: $16 - $20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Peppermint Preschool is seeking a caring Assistant Teacher for our three-year-old classroom. Our program follows a research-based curriculum aligned with Illinois Early Learning Standards and fosters a structured yet nurturing environment for early childhood education. We seek an educator committed to fostering a positive learning environment while supporting social-emotional development.
Responsibilities:

  1. Provide hands-on support in classroom activities and daily routines.
  2. Assist with classroom setup, clean-up, and organization.
  3. Help monitor and guide children's behavior, ensuring a safe learning environment.
  4. Collaborate with Lead Teacher to support curriculum goals.
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  2. Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting.
  3. CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
